T26P + EHS36 + Plantronics Savi 740

Hello,

I'm trying to use a Plantronics Savi 740 with a T26P phone, and the directions for the EHS36 aren't matching what I'm seeing.

Specifically, the directions say to first connect an RJ12 cord from the Ext port on the phone to the EHS36. Ok, done.

Then, it says connect the 3.5mm DC jack from the other end of the EHS36 to the Plantronics wireless headset. Ok, done.

Then the final cable is supposed to be an RJ9 cable going from the Plantronics device to the phone's headset port...but the problem is that the Savi 740 doesn't even have an RJ9 port; only an RJ45 (and the 3.5mm jack, USB, and power).

The EHS36 says it's compatable with all Plantronics wireless headsets, so I'm sure there's got to be a way to get this configured, but I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Any advice?

...and tried a different 3.5mm audio cable, but it didn't help, unfortunately.

For a Plantronics 720 I used the cable that came with it (that has the handset out in the middle)

My cable setup , EXT -EHS36 - 3.5m - Plantronic 720
&
Headphone jack - Plantronic rj12? port via the 'special' cable they include which appears to be a 4 pin to an 8 pin (sorry dont know the standards), with an out in the middle which is 4 pin which has a picture of a handset on it

This was to a 41 and a 46 however should be the same
