BLF Configuration Question
Can you please tell me what the Extension field represents when configuring a BLF key.
On the SIP-T38P, if you configure a Line Key as a BLF field you have 3 different areas to configure Value – Actual extension to monitor, Label – Name displayed on Screen, Extension - ???? (What does this do).
On the SIP-T38P, if you configure a DSS Key as a BLF field you have 2 different areas to configure Value – Actual extension to monitor, Extension ???? (What does this do).

Hi Scott,
If you configure the a key as BLF feature, the Value means the phone number or extension you want to monitor , the Lable is the name displayed on screen(only the key is line key), and the extension number is the pickup code.
For exmple , the phone register a account 301 and want to monitor 320,and the pickup code is *20*.
so the value is 320, the extension is *20*,once 320 has new call, 301 can press the BLF key , the phone will send *20*320 to pickup the new call.

Best Regards!

RE: BLF Configuration Question
I using a T38 with firmware vi 38.70.0.115 my ext is registered to 205 and I want to monitor ext 220 so I entered in value 220 and the pick up ext is *8220 so in Extension I entered *8220 what happens is that when I'm pressing that key while 220 is ringing the phone calls *8220220, I tried that same thing on T28 and it works the way it should only on the T38 I had this issue

RE: BLF Configuration Question
Hi Niki,
In our V70, you just need to fill *8 in the extension, but not *8220.
I tried this both on T28 and T38 with V70 firmware, they works the same.
So the T28 you are using is not V70 firmware, right?

RE: BLF Configuration Question
Hi,
I'm fairly new to IP Phones and very new to BLF i have just bought 21 yealink phones.
12 x T20
4 x w52
2 x T46
1 x EXP40
and 3 x T32.
At the moment i only have 2 lines and want to play about and try to get a better understanding how it all works. with the newest Firmware!!
My big thing is how to setup BLF with the option to intercept and pick up a call if its not getting answered.
I need It explaining (for DUMMY's) please
I am using an online hosted PBX service.
Thanks

Hi Charliestott,
For example, on your T32G, you can access to the phone webpage-DSS Key-Memory Key, as the attached picture.
So you can monitor extension 101, and the *87 is the pick up feature code, you should ask your service/PBX provider for this feature code.
Then when there's no answer, you can press this DSS key1 to pick up the incoming call.
You can also read more details in our user guide:

Any other questions please let us know, thanks.

Hi Admin
I tried what you said and although i can pick up the call from the other phone there is no light to show there is a call to pick up. just that i have both phones on the same desk.
How do i get the light to illuminate when the call comes in?
Thanks
