Call Waiting notification volume / tone
Hi,

I have a T48 which is to be used in a Reception capacity. The Call Waiting tone, while it does work, is fairly unobtrusive.
Is there a way to either change the tone for something more noticeable or to increase the volume of the tone?

Hi Stan,

You can change the call waiting tone as you want in webpage or auto provisioning.
UPDATE: Please refer to admin guide for more details. Searching "Tones".

Hi,

Thanks for the reply but I still can't find the answer I need. I wanted to know if I could upload my own custom tone to be used instead of the telephone's default.

Do you want to upload tones or rings for call waiting?
Sorry. I have update my previous post. You need to search "Tones" abou how to configre call waiting tone. Also how to set them you can refer to page 326.

I also am having difficulties with the tones. I have tried using several combinations for call waiting on hold tone and it seems as if nothing really changes. I get two tones within 6 rings which is barely noticeable. I would like to get a tone per ring, is that possible? I am using a T46 v28.80.189.1

voice.tone.callwaiting = 800+200/1000, 0/100,
500/1200, 500+600+950+1500/5000
