Call pickup on BLF not working on 7.72.0.1 [resolved 7.72.0.56.rom]
I have a number of T22P and T28P handsets configured with an Epygi Quadro 2x PBX.
A few years ago when setting up BLF on a DSS key of a phone (A T22P) to monitor a Reception extension (a T28P), I discovered it can also perform Call Pickup, which is an incredibly useful feature. It allows another office user extension to answer an incoming call at Reception when the receptionist is absent or away from her desk.
To my dismay, this feature stopped working after I upgraded the phone (that did the BLF monitoring) to 7.72.0.1. When the reception phone is ringing, the BLF button flashed as it did before, but pressing it results in a error message "Not found" or "Incomplete address". I spent hours messing around with the phone settings to no avail. The button still works when the remote extension is idle; in this case, it worked exactly as it did before as a speed dial.
I had to downgrade the phone back to 7.61.0.80 before Call Pickup on the BLF button would work again.
Interestingly, the destination phone (being monitored) can be on ver 7.7, but the phone performing the pickup needs to be 7.6.
Is there something special that I need to do on the 7.7 firmware to make Call Pickup on BLF work?

After reading the v72 Administrator guide several times, I still am unable to get call pickup working on T2xP phones running v72.
In the v61 firmware, all I needed to do was to set the DSS key type to BLF, and input the extension number in the Value field. It then worked straight away without further configuration. It was easy and fuss free. Why can't v72 be like this?
The instructions for getting the same functionality in v72 are not clear. It talks about Dialog Info Call pickup; I checked this on the phone account and it is enabled. But changing its setting makes no difference.
Then there's something about Directed Call Pickup, but it needs codes/numbers, which I have no idea of what to use. I tried copying some of the examples in the Admin Guide, but they don't work. It also seems that if a DSS key is set as a Directed Pickup key, it no longer works like a BLF key, and worse still, it is unable to pickup a ringing call on the monitored extension.
If I set up a DSS key as a BLF in v72, and I press it when the monitored extension is ringing, I get an "Address incomplete" error message. Above the error message, it shows the extension number being monitored (as if I were calling it). But I get a busy tone and the call is not picked up. What's going on?
1) I don't know what to use. Previously in the v61 firmware, I didn't have to enter anything in the 'Extension' box because it simply worked 'out of the box'.
2) The pickup codes I tried entering into the Extension box of a BLF DSS key (on v72 phones) don't seem to work at all. Putting the actual extension number in the Extension box doesn't work. I still get an "Address incomplete" error.
So my question now is, what Pickup Code did the v61 firmware send when pressing the BLF button whilst the monitored extension is ringing? It seems this was an Automagic feature in v61, but now needs manual configuration in v72, but the way it is achieved in v61 isn't explained.
I can't find any settings in the v61 firmware to copy over to my phone running v72 to get the BLF pickup feature to work.
I also tried enabling Visual Alert for BLF pickup. Whilst this feature does display the other Extension's number and incoming caller ID, the call still can't be picked up.
If there's no way to get this working, I will have to stick with the v61 firmware for now.
I notice that you disable "Directed Call Pickup" and "Group Call Pickup" from Features->Call Pickup in the webpage.
Can you enable them and test again?
If it still doesn't work in V72, please supply me syslog level 6, config.bin and pcap of V61 and V72.
1. Before you export the syslog, please set syslog level as 6, and reboot the phone
2. then enter the webpage, find the pcap feature, click Start ,and reproduce the issue, then click Stop, and export the pcap, syslog, config.bin to us.
(About where to export these files, please refer to attached screenshots.)
These three files are very important to us, hope you can kindly understand.
