Have you had problems with T38's becoming unresponsive with 3CX? I am running 3CX V12 at a call center with all T38's. I get called at least once a day to restart a phone, because of lag, one way audio, lag or static. By lag I mean, if you start to dial on the phone it takes a a second or so for key presses to register. When you actually hit send, it takes 5-8 seconds to actually terminate the call, sometimes ending in one way audio.

none of those issues, I setup a brand new office 1 year ago, using 10/100/1000 poe switches and we have the PC going through the phone also.

I stayed on version 11, but the backends are pretty much the same between the versions.

When we were on the first couple of firmware versions, the delay was there on the T38's (not every phone but a couple) and once we got onto 38.70.0.143 multicast worked, then on 38.70.1.6 the transfer delay disappeared.

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
Just posting to keep this request alive. We also have a large deployment of T-32\T-38 phones, and are getting user complaints about things that are now fixed in v71\72 firmware's for other phones. It is not good to tell your client that the cheaper non-gigabit T-2x series have these fixes and are now more modern than the T-3x series.

One primary complaint is with the "Transfer to:" dialog that can be disabled in newer firmware via the "transfer.multi_call_trans_enable" setting, that is not available in the current version of T-38g firmware. Depending on how a receptionist uses the phone, this feature can be a real pain to work with.

Getting these updated would really boost my confidence in Yealink, as I was excited to see the progress when you started focusing on unifying all of the provisioning templates. This is the one glaring exception to that unification process.

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
And it seems each user request results in a new firmware from a random base firmware... No some people get some features..
Ie: some users have phonebook search but do not have multicast paging.
I need multicast paging so I can't use that firmware with phonebook search.

I have started using grandstream on my last 2 deployments.
Although not perfect, they are listening to the customers needs...

I agree with Craig on the way the firmware has been patched its a mess. They really need to provide release notes with the patches so you can see what has been fixed. and use different base numbers for the different phone systems they connect to. This way the fixes for that phone systems are sequential and not all over the place.

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
200+ t3 series installed over last 2 years
wasted money at this point - but we are more than welcome to replace them with the t4 series - seriously considering a whole different manufacturer
what makes us think that the t4x wont be replaced in less than 3 years and abandoned

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
I just do not understand how Yealink simply acts like there is no desire in the install base nor a technology need to make this update happen. I just got back from IT Expo in Vegas and spoke with the Yealink Rep for North America. He indicated that he knew of nobody asking for a firmware update to the T3X series phones. I explained to him, 'read your own forums on your website, it is all over the forums'. We have a customer base of 300+ T3X series phones that is less than happy with our guidance to purchase these phones and have them EOL 12 months or less after purchase.

Yealink - PLEASE listen to your base, dedicate 2 engineering for a month or 2, and get these phones updated and the bugs corrected!!!

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
The biggest issue is that all T3 series phones were working ok until 3CX V12 came out and we had to update all the firmware. Then the phones started having all kinds of crazy problems. 3CX and Yealink are partnered now and this is still what we are stuck with. Maddening as I have 100+ T3x series phones out there now. This doesn't make me comfortable with the fact that I also have 100+ T4x series phones out and running now. Will T4x series become junk in a year when 3CX releases a major update again?

@GreenLine

We use 3CX V12 SP6 too.

3CX offer the firmware 38.70.0.221

We have no problems.

But we still missing some features! Angry
