T38G needs new firmware released
The T38G needs new firmware released as it is way behind all the other phones still on a 38.70.0.125 firmware as the newest. in the .71 and .72 so many issues have been resolved in the other phones. Can we please get an updated firmware for it?

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
I have also the same problem. We bought a lot of this phones last year and there was no information on the website about this (no update(s) in the feature). We only found:

Code:
The SIP-T38G Series IP Phone is one of Yealink’s most recent innovations for managers with demanding integrated communication needs.

Our management complain about this and I think in the feature we don't buy Yealink phones. We are not sure about the other Yealink phones (T48 and others), maybe they don't get also update(s) in the feature. So we have to make a decision which phones we want to buy in the feature. Probably not Yealink...

It's not a good thing to sell phones which don't get (big) update(s). Why are they not removed from the yealink website.

I agree here 100%. I am in the process of buying another brand phone and selling off my 80 T38's.

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
Yes, I am also thinking about this. We have now 60 phones (T38) and we get some new offices, so I need 50 or more extra phones this year.
We don't want different (brand) phones in our office (it's not easy to support), so I am thinking selling our T38 phones is the best option (I know we loosing money), but then we can buy new phones for all the people.
It's not what we really want, best option is to have a good working T38 phone.

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
What exactly happened to "T3X V71 will be released in about June"? I've seen posts on these forums about the V71 release fixing a number of problems, which have been addresses (and some in V72). I did my research and purchased 135 phones (T32's & T38's) based on these findings and there has been no 'official' announcement that these phones are at end of life - which they are since there are going to be no new firmware releases, the first mention at all that these models won't be getting firmware releases was in December 2013 in an off comment on the forums! Seriously, what gives? Are we to expect Yealink to just drop support for their models when a new one comes out? I purchased these phones for their ability to provide Gigabit connectivity, and now I'm screwed - my boss is questioning my ability to do these things because I got a lot of flack about buying Yealink in the first place, being told they are sub-standard. I thought they were pretty good, and great for the price, but it seems I might have been wrong since I can't depend on you for support. Unless this is resolved, I'm not going to be recommending Yealink phones, nor purchasing them myself in the future - it'll be Polycom for me.

Read this: http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthrea...hlight=v71

And there are more like this where problems with the T32/T38 phones are mentioned and an admin says they will be fixed in V71...

At the very least you should put something on your pages for these phones mentioning they are end of life. Better would be to offer a trade-in program for anyone who might still want to stick with your phones....

you also might want to take out the phrase "It has been designed as a future-proofed infrastructure investment..." from your product pages.

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
Are you saying you are still selling and promoting the phones but won't be supporting them with the latest firmware? I'm looking to switch from Aastra to Yealink for exactly this reason. That's ridiculous! Why would we push people to switch to your product if it's buggy and you stop supporting it? And you haven't produced anything in the T4x line that would replace the T38G. With the 10 keys on the side to set for a BLF it's perfect for a small office.

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
Hello Yealink ,

I have over 83 T38G IP phones located amongst 4 offices and i'm really consirned about that there will be no more support in providing new firmware for the T38G phones.
Every other Yealink phones located on the website has the promised V71 VERSION except the T38G PHONES.
If so why is it still promoted on the website!!!!!!!!
I'll hope that your reading this post because it's very critical for my organization that the phones are frequently updated to fit the needs!!

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
A Question for 'Yealink Support':

Is there any news about the firmware version (71, 72) for this VOIP phone? Please tell me, what is the reason you promised in a lot of topics 'it will be fixed in V71 (or 72)' and now it wil be never happen?

We trust in Yealink before the T38 phones, but we can't this moment... I'll contact our supplier a lot about this big problem and there are more customers with the same problem.
We get a new office next month and we want to know what to do. If there is a new version for the T38, we can buy Yealinks but if not.... we have to make a decision what to do... :-( for the whole company

RE: T38G needs new firmware released
YEALINK can you please respond to this post because i don't know what to do.
After a couple of month's were going to purchase IP phones and i'm considering in buying different brand of phones.
I'm afraid that if i buy T46 Yealink phones that the support of that phones eventuelly will end just like the T38G.
If i don't get guarantees then the choice of a different brand seems to be the first logical step!!!
Garantuee it on the T38G first because i don't want to replace the phones that i already have , it cost me a lot of money to purchase the T38G phones. I have 83 T38G phones and i feel hopeless now.
