New firmware causes blf problem.

Hi

We are experiencing some problems when upgrading our exsisting Yealink phones to the new firmware.

The problem is that empty BLF buttons after the upgrade are shown on the phone as empty speed dial buttons.

We are provisioneing many hundreds of phones, so it is a big problem that the firmware upgrade somehow is changing the setting for empty BLF buttons.

Is this something that can be fixed in a new firmware version – or is there another way of upgrading the phones without the BLF settings changing?

I have attached a picture of how the blf is after an upgrade. Before upgrade they were blank.

Phone type: Yealink T48G, T46G and T42G
Firmware Version: 28.72.0.45 to 28.80.0.70

would you please check if any auto provision sentences are changed on the cfg file ?

we have tested in our side but it seems all work fine , or would you please provide the cfg file that you used for upgrade , then we will check

The BLF buttons are not provisioned in these cases. It is the case when we upgrade an old Yealink for instance an T46G typically from firmware version 28.75.0.45 and up to the new 28.80.0.70 firmware that all blank BLF buttons are turned into empty speeddial buttons - or at least so it seems in the web interface.
If we provision the buttons to blank value, they look correct. This is not an option for us however, as the customers who have chosen not to have the BLF buttons provisioned often will have manually set up some values, and as we have no way of knowing if an BLF button is empty or manually set up by the customer, we cannot just blank all BLF buttons that are not provisioned by us... Is there anyway this can be fixed, so that blank values remain blank after firmware upgrade, without provisioning them?

sorry for the late , please add the below sentence to the cfg file of the phone and test again :

---------------
auto_provision.custom.protect = 1
---------------

it enables or disables the IP phone to keep user personalized settings after auto provisioning.

0-Disabled

1-Enabled

If it is set to 1 (Enabled), personalized settings via web or phone user interface will be kept after auto provisioning.
