Update EHS36 firmware with T46G?

How do you upgrade EHS36 firmware when connected to T46G?

T46G firmware version: 28.71.0.176
T46G hardware version: 28.1.0.128.0.0.0

EHS36 firmware version: 1.16.0.0
EHS36 hardware version: 48.0.0.0

Support documentation only refers to EHS36 firmware upgrades when connected to T26 or T28.

Hi JamesK,

No. EHS36 can work well with T46G, but T46G doesn't have a special version that can upgrade the firmware of EHS36 now. We willl release a new version for you.

Hi JamesK,

No. EHS36 can work well with T46G, but T46G doesn't have a special version that can upgrade the firmware of EHS36 now. We willl release a new version for you.

Hi Clevelander,

Do you want the release note of EHS36 3.16.0.0 version?
The latest EHS 3.16.0.0 software have solve the control problem of a wireless headset and after a period of time to stop working.

If you want to know the release note of 28.72.0.205, it only add the feature for upgrading the EHS36 firmware.
You can refer to the release notes of T46 common verison.

I have a number of T46G phones that I'm configuring to use a hosted PBX.

I only have a minimal config on the phones at the moment, just enough to load the network details via DHCP. All other settings are still default, and I'm not auto-provisioning yet.

I have updated the firmware on these phones to 28.73.0.40

I have now been told that the phones each need to use a Plantronics CS510 via a EHS36.

I believe that I need to upgrade the firmware on the EHS36 for this to work properly with the T46G.

This is my first exposure to IP phones (converting from an analogue PBX) let alone Yealink phones, and I am finding it difficult to understand the documentation for the process of upgrading the EHS36 firmware.

Can someone please explain to me (like I'm a 6-yo) why this requires the 'zero-touch' process, how it works, where does the firmware get downloaded from, and what settings the process expect the phone to have for it to 'just work'.

What's your current problem? Can't hear a voice through headset or can't use it to answer/hang up a call?

You can check the firmware of EHS36 in web interface. What's your version?
   

"Zero touch" is used to trriger the upgrading. You just need to login phone web interfafce-> DSSKey-> Line key, configure a dsskey as "Zero touch", then follow the steps in EHS36 upgrading FAQ to finish it.
