Transfer External Caller and ID T48G
Hello,
We are using T48g's in our offices with firmware 35.80.0.70 and the issue is this:
External Caller calls Internal Caller A which shows the Caller ID of external caller.
Caller A transfer call to Caller B
Caller B only sees Caller A id and never the External Caller ID.
On Firmware 35.73.0.50:
External -> Caller A sees External ID -> Transfer -> Caller B sees External ID
Only issue is that sometimes blind transfer does not work between phones on firmware 35.73.0.50.
If two phones have different firmware:
Caller A: 35.80.0.70
Caller B: 35.73.0.50
Caller ID will not be displayed for External ID. Same issue as if all phones were same firmware.
Trust RPID and PAI on asterisk have no bearing on this issue from my testing.

RE: Transfer External Caller and ID T48G
To get this to work properly your PBX and ALL your T48's must be in sync when it comes to the caller ID source. So if your PBX sends the caller ID as a RPID first, thats the option that must be selected in your T48's caller ID option in the settings. However its best to use PAI. RPID is not SIP RFC compliant.
If your using asterisk (Most likely with the FreePBX webgui) then go to "Settings > Advanced Settings" in the menu at the top and find the option that says "SIP sendrpid". Insure this says "PAI".
Then under each of your extensions, find the "sendrpid" option and make sure it says "Send P-Asserted-Identity header". It should do this already for new extensions by default.
Finally go into each and every one of the T48's phones web interface in your office and under "Account > Advanced" find the Caller ID source option and make sure it says "PAI-RPID-FROM".

RE: Transfer External Caller and ID T48G
Thank you both for your responses what it turned to be was to change the t48gs to
Account -> advanced -> CalleridSource -> PAI - RPID - From
Where in firmware 35.73.0.50 CalledIDSource -> From simply worked. Dunno what the changes were to the new firmware but that took care of it.
Thanks again.
