RE: Ability to use DSS keys with BLF keys more flexibly
Hi All ,

How about this solution :
You can set one dss key to be "Prefix"(E.G. *) and set one BLF key to be extension number (E.G 123) ,and when you on an active call and you want to transfer to *123(the voicemail of 123 number) .Then you can press tranfer button ,then press Prefix button then BLF button ,and transfer is done .

This feature can be support on V73 .

And I think it is useful if you can combine two DSS KEY ,one for feature code and another for BLF extension number ,you can press two keys to dial the final number with feature code+BLF number easily in idle status. This can be use on different features scenario flexible but not only voice mail .

Thank you very much . Smile

Best Regards ,
Nicole

That sounds good, but the last support member said this feature didn't make it into V73.

For there are a littler difference between the solution I mentioned and the solution you mentioned .

You would like to set DSS KEY to be transfer *,and on my solution ,you can set DSS KEY to be prefix *,and you need to press transfer button before press DSS key .So my colleague give you unsupported answer .

Anyway ,I think prefix * can fulfill your requirement ,right ?And it has more advantages for its flexibility .

Have a good day ~

Sorry for my mistake, we gave up this feature in the V73.
We will add it in the next big version called V80.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

It is a disappointment that this will not be in V73 Sad
Do you have an ETA on V80?

Hi Bob,

In V73 beta firmware, you have to press "transfer + prefxi + BLF" to send a call to a specific VM,
For meeting more users' need, our product guys now are planning to add the support of "prefix + BLF" in V73 commercial firmware which could be available at Octobor.

Regards,
James

RE: Ability to use DSS keys with BLF keys more flexibly
It would be great to see these features enhanced farther.
We constantly get the complain that transferring to voicemail is to many buttons. Old legacy systems were always 2 keys. The shortest on a yealink is 3 keys if there is a blf and 4 keys if not. Transfer + Prefix + BLF or Transfer + Prefix + ext + Transfer.

It had been mentioned on a few other posts as well wanting a feature to solve this. If in addition to the prefix if there could be a hybrid prefix that included a digit length dialnow.

So with say 3CX. you set the hybrid prefix to *4 (being the voicemail code for 3CX)
Then the digit length is set to say 3. (Set this under General options or something)

When on a call the user does NOT need to press transfer or anything they hit the "Hybrid Prefix" which says "Transfer + *4" Then they enter 3 digits and it sends "Transfer + *4 + XXX" all in a 2 buttons. This would make for a lot of happy costumes of ours.

I would think that should cover a lot of phone systems that can use Yealink since most of them use dial codes to "Code + extension".

Hi Tsukraw,

Thanks for the suggestion.
The "prefix + BLF" to transfer a call to voicemail is possible to be achieved in V73 commericial firmware.
Please wait for commericial firmware.

James
