Can't enter a + sign in Functions/Forwarding menu

Hello,

With a long press on 0 key, 0 sign is replaced by a + sign. So if I want dial number +123456789, I can press 0 key during 1 second or so, then press 1, 2, ... and 9 keys.

When accessing phone's Menu/Functions/Forwarding form, there is a Forwarding To in which a long press on 0 key does not replace a 0 sign with a + sign.

Is it on purpose ? Can it be configured ?

I'm thinking about teaching users to adopt +E164 numbering as they are now using it quite often with mobile phones.
Having to use +E164 numbering in Forwarding form would be much appreciated.
