Audio alert BLF incoming call - T41 - Chris Barron - 09-30-2015 10:19 PM

Hi
there are a couple of threads on the board that explain how to set an audio alert to play when an incoming call hits a monitored extension. I've tried the setting on a T41 with firmware 36.72.23.4 and no sound occurs. It's as though the sound hasn't been loaded to the phone.

This feature is important because it avoids customers having to use complex 'Ring All' ring groups to capture unanswered calls.

In a cisco environment it allowed me to get rid of lots of unmanageable groups.

thanks in anticipation

Chris

1. Set up a BLF on the phone for the extension you wish to monitor.

2. Go into the web based administration for the phone and navigate to the FEATURES tab and then to CALL PICKUP in the menu on the left.

3. Ensure the setting "Audio Alert for BLF Pickup" is set to "Enabled".

The phone should now play a short tone whenever your BLF lamps are active (Unfortunately it does this regardless of which BLF lamp is active so there's no way to specify it for certain extensions).

If this is not working as directed, I would suggest it is probably a bug.
