T46G DSSKey Settings lost on power cycle - KevenD - 09-30-2015 01:33 AM

We just received our new T46G phones in the office and our users were quite happy to find the DSSKey setting on the phone's web interface to customize the softkeys on their phones. We've however noticed that once the phone is unplugged for any length of time that the customizations are immediately lost when the phone reboots.

The default that comes up is all 9 keys on the first page being the single extension number that each phone is assigned which is an extremely redundant setting.

How do we set these DSSKey settings to be maintained when the power cycles on the phones?

hi

for this issue,

1. have you confirmed that if any auto provision is set to the DSS Key ?

if yes, i will change the value if the phone reboot , please delete the DSS Key configuration on the config file

2. upgrade to the newest firmware and reset to factory and test again , firmware download link :

3. when you reboot the phone , please disconnect the network cable and see if the DSS Key configuration is changed after it boot up ?
if no , then it is auto provision issue, refer to step 1

I do believe that this was the solution - I just got off the phone with our VOIP provider (vonage business) about 10 minutes ago and their support agents had me remove the auto-provisioning and update the firmware. Only problem I have now is that with this new firmware the web based login seems to have implemented a higher security setting so I can't have my users auto-log in from a remote form anymore and will have to have them know usernames and passwords.. Tongue

Thanks for the reply .. you were on the right track for sure.
