T28P + EXP38 + EHS36 - jonytrifulca - 10-21-2013 02:49 PM

Hi guys!
I try to connect all these components successfully,
T28P + EHS36 + Plantronics connect directly work without problems but when I connect T28P + EXP38 + EHS36 + Plantronics this not work.

I have successfully updated EHS36 follow this instructions:

http://www.yealink.com/Upload/document/HowtoUpgradeEHS36FirmwareviaT26V11-19365260359.pdf

and I have successfully updated EXP38 follow this:

http://www.yealink.com/Upload/document/HowtoupgradetheYealinkEXP38viaT28/HowtoupgradetheYealinkEXP38viaT28-20472772918.zip

the T28P firmware version is latest 2.71.0.140.rom.

What else I can do?
Thanks!

Hi jonytrifulca,

You can connect T28P + EXP38 + EHS36 + Plantronics like T46G+EXP40+EHS36+Plantronics.
I have uploaded a picture for you.

HI Yealink Support, thanks for your help
I follow this schema to connect all (attachement)

[attachment=367]

Maybe I need an additional 5V power supply on exp38?

Thanks!

Hi jonytrifulca,

I find that you forget to connect a “Telephone interface cable”.
I revise your schema that will be right.
You don't need to add a 5V power supply on exp38 actually. But you can also try again.

Hi Yealink Support
I have no "telephone interface cable", just this element(attached) that came in EHS36 box.
But my Plantronic doesn´t have RJ45 connection, I can´t connect any RJ45, only RJ11, when I connect directly(without EXP38) follow this schema(attched) all work prefectly.
I try with 5v additional power supply on EXP38 but doesn´t work too.

The problem is throght EXP38 expansion.

Some ideas??
Thanks again

Hi jonytrifulca,

The telephone interface cable is together with PlantronicCS540.
Can you tell me the model of your Plantronic? Maybe it is different with PlantronicCS540.
Sometimes different connection can work well but will reduce other problems when connect with others.
1. How about just connect a EXP38 to phone? Does it work well?
2. I also upload a figure about how to configure phone+EHS36+PlantronicCS540

Thanks for your help

Hi jonytrifulca,

In our user guide of EHS36, it should be RJ9 but not RJ11.
We have many cords packed into EHS36 box.

I will also try to upload a connect figure for you .

Hi Yealink Support,
Thanks again, I am now a bit confused between rj11 and RJ9, but the only truth is with this cord(rj11 or rj9), plantronic and t28 without exp38 works ok. So I don´t know...
The user guide that come to me on ehs36 box is this:
http://www.provu.co.uk/products/yealink/EHS36/EHS36-userguide.pdf

In this document the cord is rj11.

Is very strange, I still investigating...
Thanks
