T46G DSS Keys and Speed Dial - mike366 - 10-19-2013 09:34 PM
If I want to set a dss key to Speed Dial to with an extension for the Value, what is the significance of the Line option?
I want it to dial the internal extension. not an outgoing Line, so I am confused as to why Line shows up?
Key Type Value Label Line Extension
11 Speed Dial 100 100 Line 1 (???)

It is my understanding that Yealink uses "line" to mean "account". So Line 1 is actually Account 1.

Thanks, I am still confused, what does account have to do with Speed Dial to an extension?

If the extension you are trying to reach is only accessible through account #2 (for example), you would need to specify that. Otherwise, by default, the phone will try to dial out of account #1 and the call would fail.
