The original post asked about T3x as well. Is there a release date set for this fixed firmware?

We have been told the end of December it will be official released.
I have the beta 2 firmware running on 100+ phones haven't had any issues at all with it.
If you have a template you are using for your phones add this line. This will disable the contact picture.
phone_setting.contact_photo_display.enable = 0
