T46G Questions - Boolah - 08-02-2013 02:58 AM

I have a few questions/suggestions for the T46G:

1) Is there a way to specify or change the session timeout for the web interface?

2) Would you consider adding the ability to justify the date/time along the top bar? For example, allow moving the date to the left and the time to the right, or having the date and time justified to the left or right. Also, can the date/time still be displayed while on a call?

3) Is it possible to add a reboot option to the LCD screen that doesn't require admin permissions? Perhaps this is something that could be enabled/disabled.

4) If your bluetooth headset is turned off and a call is made/received from the handset or speakerphone, but during the call you turn the bluetooth headset on, it doesn't appear as though can call can be transferred to the bluetooth headset. Is it possible to do this, and if so, how?

3) Don't you hold down "X" or "OK" and is asks to reboot?
1 is reboot, the other is factory reset. neither requires a password.

Didn't realize you could reboot the phone that way - thanks!

I don't remember seeing it in the manual... but I used that method on the T38's and tried it on the 46's. But its not in the 38 manual either that I recall. A hidden feature Smile

Hi Boolah,
1) You can access to the phone webpage-Features-General Information, and set "Auto-Logout Time(1~1000min) " as you want.
2) Sorry currently we don't support this. But it's a good idea, we will consider it.
4) Currently you should turn on it through LCD in advanced, so the phone can in bluetooth mode. During the call, you are not able to turn on it.
Thanks.

Is there any to provision this? I don't see this feature listed in the provisioning docs.

I'm not sure I explained this correctly. The bluetooth capability in the phone is already turned on. The bluetooth headset is already paired to the phone. The issue is if the bluetooth headset is turned off (but bluetooth in the phone is still turned on), and you make/receive a call and decide you want to use your headset half way through the call, you cannot simply turn on your headset and transfer the call to it. You first have to hang up the call and then the headset will automatically connect to the phone after the call is hung up.

Hi Boolah,
1. Auto provisioning parameter is below:
-----------------------------------------
#Configure the overtime (in minutes) of logging web user interface. It ranges from 1 to 1000, the default value is 5.
features.relog_offtime =
-----------------------------------------

2. Thanks for your explaination, sorry currently we don't support this, it requires the phone to switch the channel during the call.
Do you know is there any other brand phone can support this?

Yes, the Grandstream GXP2200 can do this. In fact, the call is transferred to a paired headset automatically, without any user intervention, when the headset is turned on in the middle of a call.
