tail -f /var/log/syslog will show you the syslog on the linux server in realtime...

Darn, the Zultys IP PBX does not allow user access to TFTP log files. For whatever reason, the Yealink phone is experiencing a decrypting error after reading the TFTP config.file. I don't know why since I have not set anything special with regard to AES keys or anything like that.

I also notice that when using the web admin that I'm unable to delete the contents of the AES key encryption fields. When I delete the field contents and then hit "confirm" to save the change, the fields re-populate.
The syslog attached earlier showed there is a decryption error and the only encrypting/decryption options are with AES which I don't need to use.
Any thoughts?

Well, it sounds like you have identified the problem. Unwanted encryption is preventing the proper loading of the provisioning files. Unfortunately, I don't know much about that particular PBX, so you will likely need to seek support from them directly(though it sounds like the permissions on the template on the PBX may be incorrectly set, so the web GUI is unable to modify it....)

Ok got it fixed. I was using the updated v70 template which apparently had some formatting issue. I took that sample config. template from the website and processed it through the configuration conversion tool from the website and that seems to have corrected the issue. Adding our unique network & user info into the output file created by the conversion tool allows the phones to read the file via TFTP and modify the phone settings to match the config file. Woohoo.

Thanks all for your responses.

a tar file is like a zip file. If you are running windows, I believe 7zip can open the syslog.tar file for you, and inside is a basic text file.
