T20P connected to Cisco catalyst 2960 - jcmluquez - 07-04-2013 10:01 PM Hi all! I've connected a T20P telephone to a catalyst 2960 switch with PoE support but the telephone do not start. The telephone specs says that it support PoE. The switch port is configured with a max power supply of 15.4W. Is there a specific setting that I'm missing? Many thanks in advance! RE: T20P connected to Cisco catalyst 2960 - Yealink Support - 07-05-2013 02:19 PM Hi Jemluquez, Sorry we didn't try with a Catalyst 2960 here before. Our PoE is require 48V power. Does every T20P can't start with this switch? Or only this phone can't start? RE: T20P connected to Cisco catalyst 2960 - jcmluquez - 07-08-2013 09:35 PM Hi! Thanks for the quick response. None of the 5 T20P can start connected to the switch. By the way, other Cisco's phone can start with PoE of the switch. I will try with a phone firmware upgrade if there any available. I'll keep you posted. The T20P PoE are working in our Cisco c2960 48pst-l switch, but when trying for the T19P its PoE doesn't work. Is there any configuration we need to do in the IP Phone SIP-T19P? Thanks. RE: T20P connected to Cisco catalyst 2960 - PatKra - 12-16-2014 11:52 PM Hi, Is it an "old" catalyst 2960? I'm not very much into cisco switches but I know that cisco had its own pre-IEEE 802.3af standard, before the IEEE 802.3af POE standard. more info here: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Cisco+POE Best Regards, Patrick |
