Intercom does not auto answer - engine411 - 06-30-2013 04:11 AM

I have two T46G phones. On extension 10, I have a button configured to intercom extension 11. On extension 11 (via web GUI), I have Accept Intercom enabled and Intercom Tone enable. When I push this button on ext10, ext11 rings but does not autoanswer. I have to manually accept the call.

The T46G manual clearly says that the phone "can automatically answer an intercom call", and I think I have the configuration correct to do so.

Can someone verify if I did this right, and if so, how to troubleshoot the problem?

Hi Engine,
1. I tried it and works.
For example, my PBX intercom feature code is *9, and i want to intercom to 101, my configuration is as the attachment.
So did you add feature code before the extension number?
2. What's the firmware are you using? And what about reset to factory default?

Thanks. I got this working. I played with a lot of settings, but I think I was missing the *9 when I started this thread.

I noticed that the icon for intercom is different on the T46G (shows a handset) than on the EXP40, which is made for the T46G (shows a person icon). Why are they different?

I'm having this problem too. Running 3CX v12 SP4 with T46G at firmware v181. The intercom settings in the T46G web interface don't seem to work. Even when dialing *9 before the extension just causes the phone to ring and not auto-answer as an intercom is supposed to. Help!

UPDATE: Enabling Intercom setting in 3CX in the extension group did the trick.
