On my T46G, I have 5 line keys set, but only one shows a label, which is set on the Account tab. This label shows only on the first button. We are moving from a traditional key phone system, which has distinct buttons for each call path or line. Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, etc.

Is labeling like this possible for the line keys? In other words, if I have the system configured to have 5 external calls simultaneously, can I label 5 line keys as Line 1, Line 2, etc?

If not, it will just be a training issue for our users, but I wonder if it's possible.

Our T46G can display every label for every line keys.
You mean you have 5 different account register on the T46G? But only the first button can display the label?
But here it works well. You just need to fill the label in every account webpage, as the attachment, then the phone LCD can display every label of the line key.

Yeah, I found that label, but we have 1 account and 5 lines (call paths) on that account. This results in "Tom" showing for each of the 5 line buttons on the phone. What I want is "Line 1", "Line 2", etc.

This is an issue for us because we rarely transfer calls; rather, we put them on hold and page via overhead speakers, because our workers are mobile and can be close to any phone at any time. It's nice for Tom, if he's paged for Line 3, to walk to a phone and push the button that's labeled Line 3.

If there's a better way to handle this scenario than having labeled lines, I'd be glad to learn it.

Hi Engine,
Do you mean you just have one account, and want to assign this same account to 5 line keys? And want the different label for these 5 line keys?
If yes, you can register this account in five account webpage, like attached shows, so every line key can have different label(For example, i only have one account 948).

This has been resolved, as my 3CX reseller showed me how to work around having 5 lines displayed. But I appreciate your suggestions! Thanks.
