Hi Dcdata,
1. Our T20 do not support XML phonebook.
2. Please download T2X V71 beta firmware as below(Which support search in remote phonebook, but T20 do not support remote phonebook):
T28: ftp://Cathy:6br6pcyl@ftp.yealink.com/firmware/2.71.0.110.rom
T26: ftp://Cathy:6br6pcyl@ftp.yealink.com/firmware/6.71.0.110.rom
T22:ftp://Cathy:6br6pcyl@ftp.yealink.com/firmware/7.71.0.110.rom
T20:ftp://Cathy:6br6pcyl@ftp.yealink.com/firmware/9.71.0.110.rom
Please note: These firmware are just for testing, but can't used for deployment!
Thanks.

Thanks!

So there is no way to do a phonebook from a remote server?
Hmmm thats going to be a problem we have 400 x T20 phone.

Thanks anyways i will look at provisioning the local directory into the phone and see if that will work.

Can't it be done by using the Ldap funtion. It works great on the t22's.

Hi Yealink Support

I've just had a meeting and a valid question came up.

Why doesn't the yealink T20p support XML Browsing?
As all other VOIP phones and even analog phones have some form of remote Phonebook.

Example:
Snom 300 supports XML driven mini-Browser ( equal to the yealink T20p in display, same basic features)
Grandstream GXP1400/1405 support XML downloadable Phonebook

Hi Dcdata,
Sorry for this, it's because the limitation of T20P. But T22P can support it.

Hello!
In the same line of this question, i already discussed (by mail) if there was an option for using ldap directory in T20P phones, and the answer was the limited screen and hard-wired buttons (not variable function, i mean) make this unsuitable. The T21P model can do this, thou.
Well, now i wanna ask about the XML browser, in regards of this:
I work with a system that provides a centralized directory, and delivers it as an XML (that, in turn, is generated by some java applet). The thing is it creates the xml with an leading blank line, wich is rejected by most xml interpreters. In the case of the phones i want to use (T26P), it tries to show the provided url, but say "file layout error".
Since i have no way to control the generation of the file, as it is a closed system, i wonder: Is there any chance of making the phone ignore this little malformation of the xml, and roll with it?

Thanks in advance, and regards!

Sorry. I think it is easier to make change in your xml generator. It is hard to change in Yealink phones.
