10 programmable keys on T46G? - engine411 - 05-30-2013 12:32 AM

This is related to my post here http://forum.yealink.com:81/forum/showthread.php?tid=499&pid=1697#pid1697, but I wanted to use the correct forum for this next question.

Yealink's comparison tool is completely empty of data on the T46G, T42G, and T41P phones. I'm making the assumption that the 10 keys (5 on each side of the display) are all programmable, whether BLF, speed dial, line key, etc.
I am also making the assumption that Yealink is actively working with 3CX on the autoprovisioning for these new phones.

Is this correct?

Hi Engine411,
T46G have 10 keys (5 on each side of the display) are all programmable, whether BLF, speed dial, line key, etc.
About 3CX auto provisioning, we need to check with our product department first.
You can know more information about our T4X phones from our website:

How do I set the first row of 5 buttons to show the up-to-5 simultaneous incoming phone calls we can have?

Related: on the Type dropdown menu for each line key, there are about 20 terms, some of which I don't understand. Is there a reference somewhere that explains, for instance, how "Group Pickup" works?

You can not program SIP phones with line presence. If you pickup the phone on 1 handset, it will not show that line in use on another phone. SIP doesn't work that way.

Many of the features take advantage of a PBX - like Group Pickup. With that feature, I can pickup incoming calls for others in my Group/Department by pressing the key.

Thank you. This is helpful.

That's not accurate as I have SLA/BLA lines for my Yealink phones where these 3 "lines" all appear on my side car keys. I'm using Asterisk 1.8.

I am not quite sure this is RFC Compliant - is it? I may have misspoken.

This "Line Appearance" is not the same as the good ol' PBX Line status??
