T42S Wifi USB not detected - jayty2 - 04-15-2024 03:28 PM
Hi all
I am using two T42S phones - and a WF50 dongle. On both phones it says dongle is not detected.
I have upgraded firmware to the latest i could find 66.86.0.160 but same issue.
Any suggestions as to why it wont detect the USB dongle?
I tried to create a ticket but the website doesnt seem to work at the moment. the window just closes when I get to the end of the steps.

Hi,
The WF50 dongle is only compatible with Yealink SIP- T42U/T43U/T46U/T48U/T52S/T54S/T53 IP Phones, not with a T42S phone.

Interesting - they do advertise it as compatible with the T42s.

Should i try the WF40 instead?

WF50 is compatible with T42S, but WF50 (V1) is not compatible with T42S.

I guess you have/use the V1 ?
Maybe the WF40 will be fine, but only work in 2.4GHz band.
