MVC860 & MVC960 microphones connectivity query - isparshott - 10-19-2023 12:53 AM

Hello,

I am currently considering Yealink VC systems for installation in two adjacent meeting rooms in my organisation's primary office.

The two meeting rooms are identical in size, adjacent to each other, and separated by a sliding wall divider that can be opened to create a single large meeting/presentation space.

I am considering an MVC860 system for one of the rooms, utilising 2x VCM38 ceiling mounted microphones. For the second room I am considering an MVC960 system, also with 2x VCM38 ceiling mounted microphones, with the second camera from that system mounted on the ceiling in that room to point where the person speaking would stand when the rooms are opened into a single space for large scale presentations.

My query is this - whilst the MVC860 & MVC960 systems must work fully independently when the room divider is in place, once the rooms are opened up into a single space the MV960 system must be able to use the ceiling microphones from the MVC860 system in order to have full microphone coverage across the whole of the opened up space.

How is this to be achieved ? - what switching or other control would be required to allow the MVC960 system to control all four ceiling microphones in large presentation room mode, but for the two systems to then switch back to running with two ceiling microphones each when the room divider is restored and the two rooms hold meetings independently of each other ?

I would appreciate some views on whether my requirements are achievable as described and what would be required to permit that. The vendor I am using is not certain how this requirement can be achieved.

Thanks,

Ian Sparshott.
