New T54W phones not seeing wifi - Chris708 - 06-22-2023 11:28 PM

We received 5 new T54W phones, mac addresses start with 249AD.

These phones are not able to see any broadcast wifi.

They have the newest Yealink firmware T5x-96.86.0.70.

Just looking for thoughts on this and I may have to make an actual support ticket.

Did you enable Wifi on the phones? Menu/Basic/Wi-Fi.

Yes, of course. Otherwise the only wifi setting that shows is Wi-Fi On/Of toggle and Wi-Fi status. No other wifi setting will even be available or visible in the phone's menu.

What happened is that wifi is enabled but visible wifi SSID's are not visible.

I did not find out what the issue was specifically to fix but the issue was not with the phones. It seems like it had to do with the network architecture. Hidden SSID's possibly.

One thing I did note in the ticket is that the firmware was on 95.84.0.125 and was upgraded to 96.86.0.70 so my post was inaccurate.

*They are all set and working now.
