Possible upgrade T26P - Zdenda_Enter - 07-11-2022 02:34 PM

Hi Yealink Team,

We have several Yealink T26P phones with firmware version 6.72.9.20. This fw version does not work well with our new voip server. We are unable to update the firmware to the newer factory fw. The firmware supports Czech language and is apparently region locked. Is there any way to upload the latest possible version of the "factory" firmware to the phone. We don't insist on Czech language support, we just want to update to the latest fw.

Thank you

Hi,

The SIP-T26P IP Phone has been discontinued since December 31, 2015.
The last released International firmware (T26P-6.73.0.50) is dated March 3, 2015.
I guess it's better to buy new phones.

I'd agree with @complex1 that new phones might be a good idea, but the T26 isn't a bad phone (we have quite a number of them, and they're holding up.)

If you want to switch away from the specialized firmware version 6.72.9.20 to the regular one (6.73.0.50 from https://support.yealink.com/en/portal/docDetail?documentCode=9a9fcf0e0a97293e) you might need a “transition firmware” from Yealink support. You can raise a ticket with them at https://ticket.yealink.com/

Thanks complex1 and Yisroel_MongoTEL,
I've set up a ticket, let's see what happens.
