T46G - shortcut to activate/ deactivate accounts? - westats - 07-04-2022 05:22 PM

Hi there. I'm a new Yealink T46G owner here currently using 3 lines over separate accounts. Occasionally I need to deactivate 1 or 2 of those 3 accounts and have been logging in via the web interface to toggle those settings.

I'm wondering if there is a way that I can set up a shortcut on the phone menu, to toggle the settings there directly?

Hi,

As far as I know, it is not possible to disable an account using a shortcut.
But maybe an idea to use the DND function per account?

It seems that I'm going to be out of luck. The DND function knocks out all 3 accounts, so that doesn't give me the option to selectively disable only 1 or 2.

Hi,

By default, the Phone DND feature is effective for the entire phone system.
Please configure the DND feature for each account.
To do this, log in to the phone, go to Features > Forward&DND > DND > Mode and select "Custom".
Now you can DND each account individually, if I am not mistaken.

Thanks so much for that further explanation.

It seems that this might be the answer. The DND button on the phone now pops up with a further selection, toggling the DND status on all 3 accounts individually. I'll test this out to make sure it works as intended.
