Basic access authentication for dialing via URL 'string' - troy44 - 06-29-2022 11:19 PM I have been dealing with Yealink support ticket for over a month. After submitting several diagnostic files and numerous email exchanges I still do not have a solution. The issue is that after rebooting a phone I can dial successfully 2 times, the 3rd time it is unsuccessful and locks the phone due to the authentication failing. this is the string that I am sending, and it works, 2 times, then errors: (I have slightly changed numbers to not display active numbers) http://admin:admn314301051pwd@10.0.2.32/servlet?key=number=102&outgoing_uri=101@sip131-1245.ringcentral.com The sort of final response I got from Yealink after a month of back and forth and diagnostic files was this. "Entering this format in the address bar, username:password@ will be automatically filtered out by the browser, and the sent request does not contain Authorization, so the authentication fails. You need to use the way the request carries Authorization information in the header.(You might need to figure out how to put the authorization information in the header on your tool) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_access_authentication#Client_side I am not using a browser but an application to 'send' the URL to the phone. Can anyone help be 'format' the above string with the 'basic' authentication method so that I can successfully dial my phone via a URL? I really appreciate any feedback/thoughts and am willing to hire anyone with the knowledge for their help in solving this issue.
