Hi,

ZRTP is the new protocol that guarantees private calls, it uses Diffie-Hellman key exchange and the Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) for encryption! Contrary to SRTP, ZRTP gives protection against man-in-the-middle (MiTM) attacks, and, it doesn't rely on servers, it relies on the RTP media layer not the SIP signaling protocol, so it's completely invisible to the SIP server, the SIP server company will not know at all if you are or aren't encrypting your call!
I think there is many domestic consumers willing to buy a phone with ZRTP, and it is a very good way to promote a product, mainly when there is no brands selling SIP phones with such a attribute.

I believe that a SIP phone with ZRTP well promoted it will easily becomes a best seller!

I would also like to see support for ZRTP added. Implementing ZRTP over other encryption methods is much easier from a user stand point. My Bria app for iPhone has this feature and it's as easy flipping the switch to turn on encryption.
