Phonebook import on A T85 - Dominik333 - 08-31-2020 06:43 AM

HI there

I'm using a csv file created in numbers to import my contacts to the Yealink. All Contacts and numbers are in. But when I try to dial it says "not found". The contact appears also in the list dialed numbers.

seems something is wrong with the format, but 00041 and +41 makes no difference.
The format of the cell in the numbersfile is text, the export is unicode -8

Any ideas?

thanks
Dom

Hi Dom,

My guess is your VoIP provider don't accept 00041 (3x 000?) or leading + before the number(s) you are trying to dial.
Try dial the number(s) without the country code if you are living that country.

Hope this will help.

no this is not the problem 3x 000 was a typo of mine. I can use the number with + or 00. When is retipe manually the number it works. But I cannot retipe 100s. of numbers.

I found an possible issue;
when I open the csv file, the working number
NAme,,00411234 looks like
the none working
Name,,00414234

BUT at the non working win I move with the cursor after the second , I have to tap twice. So it seems like there is something.
The Phone numbers are coming form contact OS X app. The filed is in Both defined as text and is replaced all blanks.

Any ideas?

Thank you .
Br Dominik

Have you tried opening the file with good text editor (Notepad++ is a favorite) and set it to show all characters (even invisible ones)?

thanks was a good hin t, also Notepad++ doesn't run on Mac Word did the job. It shows Ä≠ before even number. Where is this coming from?
So i replaced them in Word and opened it in numbers now it show a ? before the number. This is ridiculous. Why is it so difficult to great a proper csv

Talk to Apple... Sad I had similar issues when saving/editing a CSV in Excel on a Mac.
