Multiple Extensions ringing - meatwork - 08-04-2020 04:25 PM

Hi,

Can someone please explain to me how to get two extensions to ring at the same time when someone rings either of them? We are using the SIP T21P E2 phones.

Thanks

Hi,

You can try to use "SIP-forking".
This mean that two devices (extensions) must register to one and the same VoIP account.

Hope this will help.

Thanks for that but where do I find SIP-forking?

Hi,

SIP-forking is a terminology... a setup, not a setting.
e.g. You have two phones, A and B
Register account 1 of Phone A register to your VoIP account 1
Register account 1 of Phone B register to your VoIP account 2
Register account 2 of Phone A register to your VoIP account 2
Register account 2 of Phone B register to your VoIP account 1
When someone calls VoIP account 1, both phones A and B will ring.
This also happens when VoIP account 2 is called.
Make sure to use account 1 of the phone A and B when dialing out (main account)

I hope I explained it well.
