Prefix and Postfix - T28 and T38 - telepathinc - 05-10-2013 07:06 PM

T28 and T38 ( and others) currently have a BUTTON choice called Prefix

For ONHOOK Voice Announce, our system uses *90xxx

We use a Prefix key using *90 as the Value

2 things -

1) if would be great if PREFIX key (*90) followed by BLF key ( 101) would produce a dial string of *90101. As it is not PREFIX (*90) followed by BLF(101) just ignores the *90 and dials 101

2) Postfix - Our call to VM or transfer to VM is xxx* ( 101*)

It would be GREAT to have a POSTFIX key ( in this case we would store *)

Then we would press POSTFIX (*) and BLF (101) and the phone would dial 101*

+1 This would be a really useful feature!

We have already submitted to our product department to evaluate this feature, our FAE will reply to you once there's an answer.
Thanks.

We were promised that this would work on 2.73 firmware and it does NOT work on 2.73.0.15

Hi telepathinc,

We have completed Prefix+BLF feature in the V73 version. Let me explain how to use it.
1. Upgrade the firmware of T28 to the 2.73.0.15 version. I think you have done this step.
2. Access to web GUI->DSSKey->memory key, set the DSSKey to prefix:*9, BLF:extesion. And you need select the correct line in the line field of BLF. Just like below picture.
3. If you set the configuration succesfully, you can press the prefix+BLF DSSKey, the LCD will display *92113, then you press send key it will send this number.
Please try it in your side.
thanks

This is NOT completely as hoped for
The problem is that we are trying to TRANSFER a caller to VM using BLF keys

Our VM uses xxx *, so my dialplan look like this - **(xxx) Replace = $1* meaning that **103 would be replaced with 103* and reach VM 103

We CAN achieve this by dialing TRANS [Prefix ***] then (DSS/BLF 103) and WAITING for {Trans} softkey to appear and pressing {Trans} softkey or hanging up.

This is ONE ( or two ) KEY(s) TOO MANY - Why not just press [Prefix ***] then (DSS/BLF 103) - Blind transfer would be GREAT for this - because THAT is the intended function here

The desired outcome would be
1) on a call
2) press (Prefix ** ) key
3) press ( (DSS/BLF 103 ) key
4) IDEALLY this would be DONE at this point - but if necessary - user could wait for {Transfer} soft key to appear and press it or HANG UP

RE: Prefix and Postfix - T28 and T38 - telepathinc - 11-24-2014 05:59 PM

WE have accomplished a SMALL Success with this using 2.73.0.16 on T28, but it is NOT the desired outcome.

using 7 as a pre-dial ( I will not call it PREFIX, because that does not work ) and a dial plan of 7(xxx) Replace = $1* = meaning that 7103 would be replaced with 103* and reach VM 103

I can be on a call and press Transfer 7 then DSS/BLF_103 - WAIT for the Transfer SOFTKEY to appear in the display, then Press Transfer Softkey, or hang up.

This works, but is does NOT allow any LABELED key to do this

It will not support a key to do this

You explanation above does NOT support transfer - it only supports a CALL to vm 2113
