T56A/T58A door phone questions - xgonc - 01-05-2020 10:59 PM

Hi,

Before buying, I wanted to check if this is doable:

a) when receiving a door phone call, display the video from a MJPEG HTTP stream source, and be able to preview the video before answering the call.

b) can the soft button to activate the relay door, be configured with a HTTP link instead of a on call code? The goal would be to open the door without answering the phone (when video is enough).

Is this possible on T56A or T58A?

Thanks.

Hi xgonc,

a) This can be done, by selecting the Device Type Baudisch for the door phone settings (only this device type has the IP Cam field where you can put the HTTP stream, but it works with any doorphone.)

b) The Open Door button that comes up with a door phone call can not be set to a HTTP link, and anyhow it only shows up after the call is answered. But you can certainly use the Open Door or URL DSS keys with a HTTP link to open the relay (just make sure your door phone hangs up the call automatically once opened using an HTTP relay... otherwise that call will continue ringing...)
