T27G Firmware Update Failed - Infonetx - 11-12-2019 05:58 PM

We recently updated to 3cx Version 16. I was working in updating our Yealink T27Gs and T27Ps firmware versions. The T27Ps went fine. But the T27Gs fail. This includes through their management console and manually through the web GUI of the T27G. Was using 3cx provided Firmware, T27G-69.84.0.95, but also tried Yealinks T27G-69.84.0.90.

Currently on:
Version
Firmware Version 69.83.0.55
Hardware Version 69.0.0.0.0.0.0

Hi,

Please follow next steps and try again:

- Reset the phone(s) to Factory default and do not re-provisioning.
- Download the T27G-69.84.0.90.rom file directly from the Yealink site (http://support.yealink.com/documentFront/forwardToDocumentDetailPage?documentId=138)
- Manually update the phone(s) with the downloaded file
- Reset to Factory default and check on the new firmware version
- Re-provisioning the phone

Hope this will help.

I appreciate the reply.

I went through the steps as you laid them out.
- Factory default, by holding okay and selecting yes.
- Downloaded, and attempted to install the T27G-69.84.0.90.rom from Yealink. Gave me a 'Firmware Update Failed! Rebooting, please wait...'
-I went ahead and factory defaulted and checked the firmware version, just in case, still the same version.
- Following the most recent factory default, I tried some of the newer, but not newest versions of firmware from Yealink as well, but all failed. Each accompanied by a factory default prior to. (I tried Yealink 69.84.0.80, 69.84.0.10, as well as the 69.84.0.95 for the T27G from 3CX)

Hi,

- On how many T27Gs are you talking about?
- Do all T27Gs have the same problem?
- Are you the first owner of the devices?
- Are the phones bought/delivered from a reseller or telecom provider?

I do not know if it is still possible to downgrade the firmware, but please try 69.83.0.50 first.
If this will work then upgrade to the latest one.

Hope this will help.

One one in my current setup.

I have another installation nearby that is also having the same issue with their T27Gs. I usually rectify mine then carry that solution onto theirs in instances like this.

Yes we are the first owners.

The phones are purchased from 888VOIP Telecom Distributor.

Okay. I now have multiple T27Gs in my possession that are behaving the same. They both also failed the downgrade to 69.83.0.50, simply citing that the Firmware Update Failed. Also these two phones despite being the same model have wildly different MAC addresses.

I guess 888VOIP is a good and reliable Telecom Provider.
Why not asking them to help? Shorter line?
May just these two phones are allocated to their RPS server and every time you try to change the firmware, the RPS server revert it back?

Hope this will help.

The link brought me to a page with a "!". What is the current link?
