Softphone XML-Browser Support - justingoldberg - 07-12-2019 03:57 PM

Is there a softphone with XML Browser support, so that I can download the call history into it softphone?

Also does anyone know of a softphone that can park calls or has configurable buttons (where a button can be programmed to park a call, blf, contacts speed dial).

I found some information here on it:
https://www.progressit.services/voip/yealink-xml-browser/

Finally, can skype for business register to a SIP cloud pbx (exosip based)?

My main thing is for a way to link outlook/tapi. Also we are looking at potential plugins for a web browser for click to dial support. I have found a chrome addon that converts phone numbers into clickable tel: sip: URIs (as the consumer Skype used to do) but the TAPI link to the phone is the last missing piece.

In this regard, I have found the Xtelsio cti client supports outlook's tapi links.

Using a simple < "3CX" soft-phone > -not having a plugin- but just by copy and paste a telephone number,
within the main screen of the soft-phone + click on "enter", it is making the call.

For a more sophisticated soft-phone experience,
you can make use of the 3CX Firefox or Google Chrome add-on.
Dialling directly from a web-page in combination with a 3CX web client. (At least version 15.5)

The combination of 3CX and Yealink phones also is fully transparent.
Hold -redirect calls to Yealink desktop or DECT base station, can be made.
Although takes some tweaking to give all your phones, DECT base station, etc. their own "internal" SIP-number.

Thanks. Does the 3cx soft phone register to a non-3cx sip pbx? I work for a PBX company. Our system is based on Osip/eXosip.

Edit: I did get the 3cx soft phone to register to our PBX.

I did get outlook contacts over to the phone's directory and dialing-completion, by using the latest T5X firmware and caldavsynchronizer.

Outlook ==>> caldavsynchronizer ==>> Google Contacts ==>> Yealink "Google Contacts" sync
