W56 and Call Park/Call Pcikup - Ben23 - 01-22-2019 01:58 AM

Greetings,
I've got a customer that we just swapped out their W52's for w56's to use the call park/pickup feature. Assuming that call pickup would work along the lines of BLF or context sensitive. Is this the case or was that a logical leap to assume that?

Sorry if this seems like an odd question. This was the whole concept behind the upgrade for these 8 handsets they have.

Is the lack of comments on this thread no on knowing the answer or some other reason?

Hi,

I do not think the W56 can do more than the W52.
Please see next link and select “Specifications” to compare the models.

Hope this will help.

in the Administration manual http://download.support.yealink.com/download?path=ZIjHOJbWuW/DFrGTLnGypsN1StLgAwqIWO9pODBFPCLXgi5wu5juv1qyvOsplusSymbolAtC3/QT0wRa0kpn7fAUei6FiaYSr05xQq7XGNE2UQaT67dY1ef5IY1Ug78kkP3AQRumjbwXplusSymboleVKet8bYku2fAFoPlTjHUiRJm8oY

I see this portion that says there is more features regarding call park w/ the w56 on page 256. I could be reading it wrong though

Hi,

No, you didn't read it wrong, I did. Blush

Please read the W56P_User_Guide on page 77 and further and I hope you will find your answers here.

Thanks, it appears while it has the buttons to park/unpark calls, it does not have an indicator for a call being parked which is what my customer really wanted.
