BLF not working since firmware 66.82.x.x - Jeremy17 - 12-19-2018 06:54 PM

It seems that Yealink has changed their firmware in 66.82.x.x and higher so that the BLF feature no longer works with Asterisk (or FreePBX) because Asterisk is not RFC4235 compliant.

While I agree that standards are great and everyone should follow them, Yealink also shouldn't break such an important feature by strictly enforcing a standard that the rest of the world isn't compatible with yet.

Yealink, please add a compatibility-mode option to your firmware so that your BLF feature will continue working with Asterisk like it did with firmware 66.81.x.x. Once Asterisk has the new standards support built in, you can safely remove the backwards compatibility from the Yealink firmware.
