T48G + EHS36 + Sennheiser DW Pro - No Ring Tone - miclan - 08-15-2018 03:48 PM

Hi Yealink,

customer wants to hear a ring tone from the headset on an incoming call.
Can't get this to work.

Is this supported?

Thanks for y answer

The EHS36 is one of the more difficult hookswitches to set up, so the issue could be in either how it is plugged in or the settings in the back of the Sennheiser.

If you happen to have one of the DW series, you can check out this article to show you how it needs to be set up.

One thing that could have easily been missed is moving the first dip switch in the back of the cube down, making sure number 2 is in the up position. If you notice 5 is down, leave it there, as this makes your battery last longer.

If you have it set up correctly, you can try a reset of this cord.
  • Unplug the power and USB (if plugged) in the back of the cube
  • Unplug the cord in the green phone port in back of headset base
  • Go to the back of the phone and unplug the cord in the headset jack
  • Then unplug the cord in either the EHS or EXT port
  • Lastly, plug everything back in, but in reverse order (EHS/EXT, headset port in phone, phone port in headset base, power and USB

If the headset came off of the cube, put it back on to get it synced back up and test. Usually, this will get everything fixed, so I wish you the best of luck!
