T46G/S hiccups during call - flo_woy - 06-11-2018 08:25 AM

Hello community,

we're using a cloud telephone provider. Every call we got some hiccups during call. It's like nothing for several seconds. It could look like the following scenario:

1 | Call starts
2 | At 0:16 seconds the time on the display freezes for 2 to 5 seconds
3 | During hiccup you don't hear each other
4 | After several seconds of delay the counter continues and jumps ahead to the "lost time"
5 | You're able to hear each other again

In some cases the call drops and then it's like someone hang up.

But what's the reason the display time freezes? Is there any configuration that causes the freeze?
Maybe someone of you got the same issues and has a solution for this problem?

Doesn't matter if it's a Yealink T46 G or S. The same problem occurs.

Maybe someone of you has a fix for this specific problem?
We also checked the locations infrastructure and it seems there's no problem with it. At other locations employees got the same problem.

Kind Regards
Florian

Hi Florian,

Do all the phones have the same problem?
Are the phones get there power over ethernet (PoE)?
Yes, Please connect them to there own power supply and test again.
It looks like a power issue.

Hi,

first of all thanks for your reply.
I'm pretty sure there's no issue with PoE. I just tested it with a power supply and the same freeze occured.

Do you have a clue why these freezes happen? Any technical issues known?

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Florian

Hi Florian,

I don’t have a clue why these freezes happen, but please try next:
- Make sure the phones running the latest firmware.
- Reset the phones to factory default and try again.
