Phone not working with 802.1x md5 validation. - fabianochoueiri@yahoo.com.br - 07-25-2015 01:55 AM

I am trying to use 802.1x (MD5) authentication with my t38g phone.
I have configured with md5 authentication, ntered user name and password.
The problem is that the phone does not initiates the authentication. Nothing happens. The phone is not sending any authentication request.
In the first test the phone was working without a pc connected to it and like I said, nothing happens.
In the second test I have connected the pc (that use 802.1x too). This time the pc and the phone connected but, after one minute, the phone logs off 802.1x authentication. Has anyone experienced that kind of thing?

Hello,

Have you uploaded the server CA to phone?
If not, please disable the option "Only Accept Trusted Certificates" under Security-> Trusted Certificate and try again.

Md5 authentication does not need a certificate. Does it ?
