T29G DSSKey functionality alternative number call - AresK - 12-06-2017 10:05 PM
Hi,
We have a T29G device (firmware 46.80.0.130)
DSSKeys are set to directly call the line, when they are pressed, the device doesn't offer an alternative and just rings the person directly.
Is it possible to change the functionality of those DSSKey to give an alternative option to forward the call to a registered number such as the mobile number of the user for each user when their specific DSSKey is pressed?

You can change the programming on the DSS keys either by pressing and holding for a few seconds, or through the web interface on the phone itself.
If you carrier/service provider has disabled those options, then you will have to contact them in order to make any changes.

As Jolouis said, you can change the type of DSSKey via pressing and holding the line key for a few seconds or the web user interface.

Hi,
We can change the functionality of the DSSKeys but at the moment they are all on BLF
each of those keys are assigned to a different user, whoever the call needs to be forwarded we push the button for that person, and it directly calls the direct line, we don't want to change the functionality but somehow alter it or overload it, as in either instead of calling the person on the voip line directly it should offer an alternative such as forwarding the call to their mobile number (which can be stored somewhere ?)
So basically it should give you 2 options when the button is pressed to either call their direct line or the mobile number.
I hope this is more clear.

Thanks for update.
Speed dial allows users to speed up dialing the contacts directly on the phone’s idle screen using dedicated DSS keys. The prompt of 2 options do not meet the speed dial scene.
For the 2 options (direct line number or the mobile number), I suggest to set two Dsskey for the line number and the mobile number, as shown below picture.
