XML Beep volume - ipcsolutions - 08-30-2017 04:58 AM

Hi there

We have built a duress alarm function on Yealink phones using the XML beep option.
Unfortunately the volume of the beep is dependent on the ringer volume of the phone. It is generally a fairly quiet beep anyway for obvious reasons.
I know I can force a certain ringer volume on the phone but this is not desirable in all instances.

Can you think of any other options for this?

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
This is Paul from Yealink Technical Support Team, nice to meet you.
About the volume of the phone, it's a pity it can only be adjusted by the Volume key in the phone.
Please adjusted the phone to the maximum volume.
BR
Paul

Thanks Paul. Hmm not sure why I didnt get an email on this from the forum.
We have fixed the problem by forcing a ringtone level by sending an XML configuration object prior to the alarm beep.

Thanks for the info.
