w52p handset. Firmware keeps reverting to old version after upgrade. - farrago - 07-23-2017 07:00 PM

I use the base's webUI to upgrade the firmware in our Yealink w52p handsets from v.26.73.0.17 to 26.73.0.30 (that is the current version available for download on the Yealink web site). It works and helps the phones work. Then, over night, the base pushes the old version v.26.73.0.17 out to all the phones and sets them all back to what they were before I upgraded. Why? Is 8x8 (our VoIp provider) somehow set to push the outdated firmware version out to our handsets every time we upgrade?

OK. Got the answer from 8x8. 8x8 is pushing out the old version every night if something newer is found on our handsets. Can someone at yealink tell me what was improved/fixed between v26.73.0.30 and the previous version so that I can make a case with 8x8 to approve the latest v26.73.0.30 firmware version.

We're thinking it fixes a lot of the issues we've been having.
