Hi Guys,
Does anyone have any updated and comprehensive guide to setup OpenVPN 2.4.x and Yealink T23G/T4X phones on the latest firmware?
I've ventured into this some time ago and it was not pretty and had a lot of issues and different places have different information.
The VPN document by Yealink has a very outdated version of OpenVPN and I had issues getting the latest versions working with the advertised information.
If someone can give me the information from setting up the OpenVPN server on a linux platform to creating the Tar files and loading them on on to a handset, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Evan,
I want to use OpenVPN 2.4.3. All phones will be using firmware version 81.0.70 or later.
The document you listed has very old versions of software listed and some instructions do not work on the latest versions.
- OpenVPN 2.1.4 (2013)
- LZO 2.02 (2005)
- OpenSSL 1.0.0e (2011)
It would be great if you could update your documents using the latest versions and there were many bugs/vulnerabilities that were fixed along the way and some instructions in your document do not work with the latest versions.

We started using openvpn 2.2.x for the firmware version V80 or later, similarly, compatible with openvpn 2.1.4. If you want to use some new features, we recommend use openvpn 2.2.x for firmware version 81.0.70 or later.
It is a pity that our openvpn version files have not been updated to 2.4.x, but I will feedback to our DP and R&D, if there is reply, I will inform you the first time.

A:Can you describe the phenomenon that do not work on the latest cersions?
Try to use the version(2.2.x) of openvpn for phone, and still can’t work. Please kindly send email to support@yealink.com
