Yealink T42G and EHS36 failures - ralph - 05-10-2017 06:48 AM

I have multiple Yealink T42G handsets with EHS36 and CS540 plantronics headsets that intermittently fail to be able to go off hook from the headset.
I can get the headset to work again in most cases by pressing the speaker button on the handset and then pressing the headset button on the handset.
the handsets are running
I have the same problem with a T46G running
I also have the same problem with a T48G running and that is using a jabra pro headset.
they all have the same fault.
now i can use an old ehs36 thats been around for a few years and which ever headset/handset combo i plug this old ehs36 into the fault goes away.
the distributor that i purchase the headsets and handsets off assures me i am the only person that has come across this fault.
any ideas would be appreciated?

HI Ralph´╝î

Let us check the scenario first: when there is an incoming call, you can not pick up the call by headset, right? How often the issue will happen?
Can you just provide the level 6 syslog, config.bin and pace trace for us to locate the problem.
About how to get the three files, please refer to the FAQ below:

Please note to make sure the firmware of the phone(x.81.193.70) and EHS36 are the latest version, since it is more stable and have less bug. Refer to the guide below to upgrade the EHS:

Also, to make a comparison, please kindly provide the level 6 syslog, pace trace when the headset can work normally in the same environment.

You can send the file to, thank you in advanced.
