T38G Continues to ring after outbound call connects - srcurtis - 05-03-2017 12:48 PM

Hi

I'm not sure if this is phone specific as most of our phones are T38G's.

When calling a remote party from a T38G (via asterisk) over public WAN we often experience connection difficulties. I would estimate 40% of the time. Sometimes the problem can not present itself for a week or so and then reappears.

The problem is with remote phones calling into the asterisk server / T38G phones.

When a call is placed from the remote phone into the office and the call is answered, the remote calling party hears speech but the phone continues to 'ring', i.e. the remote party still hears ring tone in the ear and the phone continues to show the animated arrows typically seen when calling.

Phones are running firmware 38.70.0.172 as we make use of multicast IP and I cannot be sure if there is any updated firmware available that supports this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve

Please kindly upgrade to this firmware to check:
http://download.support.yealink.com/download?path=upload%2Fattachment%2F2015-4-30%2F6%2Fb5a14487-1d37-4017-a495-e57d0f42e955%2F38.70.0.185.zip

For your question, let me check again with you:
1. PBX is on public network. May i know the yealink is in public network or not.
2. use mobile phone to call yealink phone, yealink phone answer and it will show time(00:00,00:01,00:02), but on mobile phone, it will still hear ringtone.
3. This issue will not happened everytime.

To solve this issue, i need pacp, syslog, config.bin files to do more troubleshooting.
For how to export those files, you can refer to this FAQ:
http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=311
NOTE: you should reproduce this issue, so that you can get useful files to me.

May i know how many phones in your side? How many phones have such issue?

BR
Kevin

I have reproduced the problem and have the requested files. Is there an email address that I can send them to rather than post publicly to this ticket?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve

I get reply from R&D guys. From those exist files, we can't see useful information as we don't capture whole processing.

For the issue, do you means that A call B, B answer. In B side, B can't hear any audio, but it will have time PULSE(00:01) on GUI, right?
On A side, A still hear that ringback, seems that B don't answer this call, right?
Please tell me if any misunderstanding.

For the issue, we need your help to rpero the issue again and send pacp, syslog, config.bin files to me.
For syslog file, you can upload it to syslog server side. Please see this attachment.

Thanks for your help. May i know how many phones in your side?
