Yealink T42G Phone stuck at Welcome - LFC - 04-06-2017 09:51 PM

Hi, I have one of our Staff's T42G phones, when it was connected this Morning, it started the initializing, then went to the Welcome Screen where it continues to sit. I've tried several reboots, moved the phone to our lab for a direct connect to the server, tried an external power adapter (Usually POE) , but it now immediately goes to the Welcome initializing...please wait screen. It's past warranty with our retailer so no help there.

You can try contacting your retailer and getting them to request recovery firmware from Yealink, just in case it's a corrupted firmware issue. (Yealink doesn't provide this directly to end users for security reasons, but the reseller if they are in the proper channel should be able to get it on your behalf).

If that does not work and the warranty period is passed then could be potential hardware failure though in our experience that would be pretty rare (unless a user did something silly like dump coffee on it etc).

Hello Andrew,

Thank you very much for your assistance with this issue and for the attached files, and link. This phone will not get to the point where I can find it on the network (via it’s MAC) as it only reaches the “Welcome Initializing screen”. Is there a way I can get the attached file to the phone, either via the network or more likely via a direct link from a pc/laptop?

I have a similar problem where I need to re-install firmware - I have the guide but require the .bin and .rfs files

Hello,

I've got the same problem in my company with some :
- T42G
- and some T42S
which are stuck at welcome screen.

I've tried to restore factory settings, but not worked, phones still stucked at welcome screen.
What is the procedure to recover the use of these phones ?
