All phones light screen backlight when call is hung up. - Bobcat19 - 03-06-2017 09:18 PM

Hi there, I've got a bit of a strange issue at one of our customers who are currently running 5 T27Ps, and one W52P.

Everything works as expected, however there is one strange problem.

All the phones are in the same ring group, so they ring, someone takes the call, that works fine. Now when that person hangs up that call, all of the screen backlights on the rest of the T27Ps turn on.

So they'll be working away, all of a sudden the phone lights up (the screen), because someone else hung up a call.

All of the phones monitor each other with BLFs if that helps or makes a difference.

Is this something anyone has encountered before? And if so, what was the fix?

Hi Bobcat19,

For this “strange” issue / behaviour, please read the T27P Admin Guide page 184 and further, chapter “Backlight”

"You can configure the backlight time as one of the following types:
Always Off…
Always On…
15s, 30s, 1min, 2min, 5min, 10min or 30min: Backlight is turned off when the IP phone is inactive after a preset period of time (in seconds), but it is automatically turned on if the status of the IP phone changes or any key is pressed.
"

Hi Bobcat19,

Sorry for the late reply. From your previous mail, all the phone monitor each other with BLF. I check the config.bin, the BLF active backlight is enabled, please disabled the feature with below parameter:
features.blf_active_backlight.enable =0
#config the backlight active or not while BLF/BLF list status change.
0---disabled
1---enabled

Hi Jensen, is there a way to do this without re auto-provisioning them?

Hi Bobcat19,
