Why does T23G randomly negotiate 100Mb half duplex - avayax - 02-24-2017 08:37 PM

Very often I find that with my two Ethernet ports set to auto negotiate, my T23G phones randomly negotiate only half duplex or full duplex 100Mb, even though the switch they connect to is perfectly capable of 1Gb full duplex.
V81.

Why is that happening?

Hi,

Who is the manufacturer of the switch? Cisco?

Hi,

Who is the manufacturer of the switch? Cisco?

What I also see is 1000Mb on the WAN port, but 10Mb on the PC port.

What adverse consequences would I have to expect if I hard code 1000Mb full duplex into the Yealink?

None, I think.
But there must be a reason why the phone change automatically between half and full duplex.

Please try next:
Checked the network cable (>cat5e)?
Connect the phone to a other port on the switch or, and preferable, us a other switch?
Hard code the dedicated switch port instead of the phone to 1000Mbps Full?
